Utah & the Comfort Zone Trap: Why Dreaming Isn’t Enough

Utah & the Comfort Zone Trap: Why Dreaming Isn’t Enough

Wow, I missed traveling more than I could ever imagine.

Utah marked my first trip in four months—the longest break I’ve taken from traveling in over four years.

And let me tell you: I didn’t realize how much I needed it until I landed, looked up at the desert sky, and felt that spark reignite.

But here’s the truth: it’s easy to stop doing the things that make us feel alive.

When we let go of a habit or routine for long enough, we stop feeling the urgency to return. This doesn’t just apply to travel. It applies to relationships. Health. Creativity. Spirituality. Anything.

Comfort is seductive. And comfort zones are dream killers.

Even though I love traveling more than just about anything… it was actually easier to not plan the trip. Not book the flights. Not invest the money or energy. Staying put? That was simple. But it was also soul-numbing.

Here’s the paradox: Taking action, especially inspired and aligned action, is hard. But not taking action slowly robs us of our passion.

And while comfort feels good in the short-term, it rarely leads to fulfillment. You might feel happy, stable, even successful in your comfort zone—but deep, soul-level aliveness? That comes from growth. From expansion. From stretching yourself just beyond what’s easy.

Think about the times in your life you’ve grown the most. The bold moves. The adventures. The risks. They were probably uncomfortable—but they’re also the memories you cherish most.

A lot of people keep their dreams trapped in their head. They fantasize. They hope. They talk about what they would do.

But they never make the leap.

Why? Because they believe a dangerous lie: That once they achieve the dream, they’ll have nothing left to work toward.

That’s scarcity talking.

The truth? Your soul always has another dream lined up. Fulfillment doesn’t come from hitting the goal—it comes from honoring the pull.

If you feel stuck… uninspired… or like you’re living on autopilot… It might be time to shake things up.

Because your dream isn’t optional. It’s your soul’s assignment.

And if you’re not sure what that dream is—or how to reconnect with it—shoot me a message. No one deserves to live a passionless life.
